Marc Newson, uno degli industrial designer più affermati e autorevoli della sua generazione, mette a frutto il suo talento spaziando tra le più diverse discipline per creare qualsiasi oggetto, dai mobili agli aerei. Rispetto a questo “lavoro” serio, Marc Newson considera le sue collezioni G-Star più come un divertente diversivo – un’opportunità per portare la sua estetica di designer industriale e il suo senso dell’umorismo nel mondo della moda. La collezione di Marc di questa stagione presenta due approcci: uno raffinato ed uniforme denim del Premier Blazer e 5pckt Denim in denim blu indaco e nero; e il più anticonformista Worker Denim proposto in un denim sbiancato e la collezione in jersey che punta sui colori vivaci, come la Jumbo Bleach Star T-Shirt e la Colour Block T-Shirt. Tutto questo accompagnato da un design sofisticato e ricercato per un nuovo easy wear che mantiene, da un lato intatta l'identità del brand, dall'altra si spinge verso nuovi registri stilistici.
Marc Newson, one of the most successful and influential industrial designers of his generation, puts to use his talent ranging from the most diverse disciplines to create any objects, from furniture to airplanes. Compared to this "job" Marc Newson considers its G-Star capsule collection more as a fun - an opportunity to bring the aesthetics of industrial designer and his sense of humor in fashion.
The collection of this seasonhas two approaches: a refined denim uniform of the Premier 5pckt Denim Blazer and denim indigo blue and black, and the most unconventional Worker Denim proposed in a bleached denim and jersey collection that focuses on bright colors such as Jumbo Star T-Shirt Bleach and Colour Block T-Shirt. All this accompanied by a design for a new sophisticated and easy wear that keeps the brand identity intact, the other goes into new stylistic registers.
