adidas presented the World Cup Finals ball

adidas presented the World Cup Finals ball A ball that only the four national finalists will have the honour of kicking

After unveiling the 'Rihla' ball, a word that obviously comes from Arabic and translates into 'journey', after months of rumours and leaks today adidas officially unveiled the ball with which the four national teams will play semi-finals and then finals. It is called 'Al Hilm', translated 'the dream', the one that partly represents this much-coveted cup. As has been the case with all the previous 24 balls, the design will not change and the ball will not even be dyed gold, as happened in previous editions, but will be totally burgundy like the competition logo.

After repurposing for the 2018 World Cup in Russia the design of the first ball produced for the 1970 and 1974 editions, for this edition adidas has revolutionised everything. Compared to the Telstar which was a historical ball that changed the brands approach to football production, the 'Rihla' has a completely new and never seen before design. Now with the version designed for the last three matches, the German brand has finally come full circle, while waiting to find out who will be the selection to achieve victory.
