Mexico's away jersey is one of the most popular at this World Cup A tribute to ancient civilisations and Mixtec art

The World Cup in Qatar is just around the corner and it's time to take stock. Some of the kits that will take the field during the strange winter edition are probably among the most beautiful seen this year. Nike, adidas, PUMA are the brands with the most teams represented, but in general the others present such as New Balance, Hummel, Kappa, One All Sports, Marathon have allowed the clubs to pay homage to the culture of the city they belong to, the artistic movements that characterise its architecture and the influences that make a place or a symbol so special. And among all the jerseys that have sought to pay homage to the local culture, there is one that has caught the attention of all fans, the Mexico away jersey designed by adidas that has sold out in most online and physical stores.

The one by adidas is a true homage to ancient civilisations, the basic white jersey features details inspired by Mixtec art and Aztec deities to evoke the fighting spirit needed to dominate the world of football. But that's not all, in addition to the allover motif there is a graphic showing the snake body of Quetzalcoatl, a very important symbol for the Mexican people. A combination of several elements that literally made sales skyrocket, making it almost impossible to receive the jersey any time soon. While waiting for the World Cup to begin, therefore, Mexico has already collected a record.

The jersey will be available soon, here.
