What the may not know, is that most part of these properly art pieces is made in Italy, in the Montebelluna facility. It opened its doors in 1996 and made its first pair of football boots, the Air GX, the next year. The original edition of the GX was a big step ahead in terms of football boots, because - even with its classic design for today’s standards, it launched a series of avant-gardist aspects of the Swoosh, that then we found on several boots and even sneakers. This limited edition Hypervenom GX also has some innovations, being made by a mix of Alegria leather and Nike FlyKnit, combining traditional materials with the most advanced technology by the Swoosh, making the shoe 30% lighter.

The design of the two shoes - old and new - is at the same time similar and evolved, with the oversized tongue and the quilting that leave space for new solutions, while the asymmetrical lacing is exactly the same of the original GXs. Several details homage the team of the Montebelluna factory, which crest - alongside with the Italian flag and the number “20” to celebrate the anniversary - appears on the heel and the internal sole. From October 16, 2,500 pairs of Nike Hypervenom GX will be available, with the possibility to customize them on NIKEiD.
