Studded belts, meticulously crafted denim, and high-quality leather garments. Alongside these, a wide selection of genderless items, such as distressed lace tops and long dresses that stood out in front of a captivated audience, followed by complete looks enhanced with Texan boots and outfits of "contemporary cowboys": we were backstage at the first ready-to-wear fashion show by Achilles Ion Gabriel, the Finnish designer who chose the setting of Pitti Uomo in Florence for his debut. The creative director of CAMPERLAB has created a highly personal collection that reflects his cultural heritage and, consequently, his recognizable style. Achilles Ion Gabriel has focused more than the last 10 years of his career on the footwear sector: even before joining CAMPERLAB, Achilles gained considerable experience as a consultant for brands like Marni and Sunnei, but the desire to venture out on his own and offer his 360-degree vision prevailed. The AW24 collection by Achilles Ion Gabriel is enveloped in an aura of magic, a prelude to a bright future for an emerging - and already acclaimed - figure in the "new" fashion system.
