Who is Hed Mayner? The second guest designer of Pitti Uomo 109

After announcing in recent weeks the participation of Soshi Otsuki, winner of the 2025 LVMH Prize, Pitti Uomo has revealed the second guest designer for the 109th edition of the event: Hed Mayner. The Israeli designer, now based in Paris, will present his Fall/Winter 2026 collection in Florence with a special runway show scheduled to take place from January 13 to 16, 2026. “I would like to thank Pitti Uomo for inviting me to present my new collection in January,” said Mayner. “It is a great honor to be part of an event that supports creativity, and I am excited to be able to show my work in a city as rich in history as Florence. This new context will encourage me to experiment with new ideas,” reads the official press release.

Who is Hed Mayner?

Born in 1985, Mayner became interested in fashion during his teenage years. After attending design courses and working on small artisanal productions, he moved to Paris to study at the Institut Français de la Mode, where he refined his technical skills and developed a personal vision based on the experimentation of volumes and the reinterpretation of traditional tailoring. In 2015, he founded his eponymous brand, which within a few years entered the official Paris Fashion Week calendar.

In 2019, he received the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, an award established by the LVMH group as part of its international competition for young designers — a recognition that helped cement his global reputation. Since then, the Hed Mayner brand has strengthened its presence in major menswear markets, with collections produced in Italy.

His collections are defined by a pragmatic and architectural approach to garment construction, where elements of classic tailoring are reinterpreted through generous proportions, layering, and natural fabrics. Alongside his own label, Mayner has collaborated with several international brands, including Reebok, where he led the Reebok Ltd. line, developing projects that bridge the language of fashion and sportswear.
