Raxxy is the third guest designer at Pitti Uomo 111 The Chinese luxury outerwear brand will be a guest at the 2026 edition
The third guest designer for the 111th edition of Pitti Uomo has been announced: William Shen, designer and creative director of Raxxy, a Chinese luxury outerwear brand. The brand took shape in 2020 and is a reflection of Shen's personality and artistic journey — he started out as a mathematician, but translates his background into an artistic working methodology grounded in algorithmic logic. His approach, in fact, goes beyond the search for new forms, consisting instead of active intervention in the process of conceiving and constructing each garment, which thereby takes on an almost architectural dimension.
For the occasion, an immersive installation entitled Geometric Sculptures will be set up inside the Sala della Scherma at the Fortezza da Basso, showcasing the dialogue between clothing, mathematics and plastic arts that defines the designer's creations. The focus will be on the centrepieces of the exhibition: puffer jackets connected to one another, conceived as true wearable sculptures. True to the brand's DNA, the garments are the result of the meeting between his background and Chinese craftsmanship, characterised by patterns generated through weaving techniques that contribute to the creation of three-dimensional geometries and volumes. The other two brands previously announced for the event are Kartik Research and Dunhill.
