Milan also takes to the streets.

The countless series of demonstrations and protests that spread around the world following the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the hands of the police, did not leave the city of Milan indifferent.

Despite the grey sky and the many worries related to the Coronavirus emergency, thousands of people gathered in Piazza Duca D'Aosta to support the Black Lives Matter movement and to reiterate how important it is to also talk about racism and integration in Italy. The demonstrators, mostly young and very young, took part in the protest in a peaceful way, raising signs and banners to the sky to the cry of No Justice, No Peace. Due to a large number of participants present in the square, the garrison then turned into a parade towards via Zuretti, a place where, in 2008, Abdul Salam Guibre lost his life due to an act of racism.
