Although this summer we will have to give up festivals once again, Sónar Barcelona looks to the future: today the line-up of the 2022 edition of the musical event that will be held from 16 to 18 June next year in the traditional locations of Fira Montjuic and Fira Gran Via in Barcelona has been announced. The most prominent names on the list of artists are certainly The Chemical Brothers, who will present their latest work music, but there will also be Richie Hawtin, The Blaze, Arca, Princess Nokia, the French duo Polo & Pan and the most beloved living rapper and living meme, Tomm¥ €a$h.

In the upcoming weeks, Sónar will also unveil the line-ups for 2 new festivals presented by Sónar in 2021: the S+T+ARTS AI and Music Festival on 27 and 28 and SónarCCCB on 29 and 30 October. Both festivals - which will be physical although with a strong digital component - will reflect all the spirit and energy of Sónar, with over 60 activities including concerts and DJ sets, talks, workshops, debates and presentations of Sónar+D – all events that, thanks to the positive trend of vaccinations, will be much wider than last year's format. Sónar also expands its activity throughout 2021, starting tomorrow Thursday, May 13th from 17:00 to 19:00, with the first activity of the AI and Music Festival organized by Advanced Music, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) and betevé as part of the S+T+ARTS to explore and discuss artificial intelligence on music and the creative possibilities of this application.
