Skate & Surf Film Fest sponsored by Vans returns to Milan Here is the exclusive line-up

After attracting over 30,000 people at its last edition, on June 21 and 22, the Skate & Surf Film Festival returns to Milan for an exclusive edition. The event, curated by Onde Nostre and Block10 in collaboration with Vans, moves to Via Mecenate in the iconic spaces of the East End Studios to celebrate urban creativity. The ninth edition of the festival will offer the chance to closely explore the world of skateboarding and surfing through screenings, visual art, live music, and other cultural activities all dedicated to board sports. This year too, the festival features a collaboration with the now iconic East Market, reflecting the underground and nonconformist spirit of surfing and skateboarding with vintage design and unique items. The entire weekend will revolve around the competition dedicated to the best films and documentaries from around the world, selected this year by artistic director Luca Merli and co-founder Davide Martinazzo, by Paul Labadie, a historic videomaker of the European skate scene; Federico Tognoli, a key figure in the Brescia underground scene and founder of the skateshop Frisco; and Matteo Ferrari, photographer, surfer, and co-founder of Onde Nostre.

SSFF 2025 offers a program full of attractions, with exhibitions, art installations, workshops, and live performances that allow visitors to experience the unstoppable energy of board sports and their community at 360°. Among the artists exhibiting their work this year are photographer Beatrice Sugliani, Christian Corradin and Valentina Flores Dorio, Pawel Swanski, Gianluca Mariani, and the Chef Family. As for the workshops, there will be the chance to feel the thrill of skating with the skate school from Pinbowl Skatepark, join riding sessions on ramps and obstacles, and take part in the adrenaline-filled Vans skate contest. But that’s not all: the collective FILLER has also designed a carnival-style game area, while SUBSERI has organized a DIY screen printing workshop. Kodak will also be present with a workshop on the art of analog filmmaking, Analogue Filmmaking in the Digital Age, and Cotopaxi with an upcycling lab. A staple presence at SSFF, Vans has set up an exclusive experiential area featuring a pop-up store, community activations, and the latest skate and Classics collections. To close out Saturday and Sunday are two brilliant line-ups: for the full program, visit the festival website at this link.
