5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 17 to 19 June

Fashion Week, the most important week of the Milanese summer, has finally arrived. The general flight to seaside destinations will be reversed by the influx of stars, models and designers from all over the world ready to brave the suffocating heat in the name of fashion. Unmissable also on this occasion, our faithful guide through the streets of Milan, to catch the best in the midst of all this ferment.

To Eat - Dedaspuri

DedasPuri is an all-female entrepreneurship project: the idea was born in 2018 from the friendship between Lela Khoriauli and Stefania Achilli, after a holiday together in Georgia. The restaurant is marked by the presence of the tone, the original Georgian clay oven in the shape of a well built in Italy by a craftsman who came especially from Georgia. A stone's throw from the basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, DedasPuri offers a traditional menu from the Black Sea lands: Khinkali (ravioli stuffed with beef and spices), Apkazura (morsels of mixed meat wrapped in a pork net) and Ostri (a spicy veal stew with a mix of herbs), as well as typical wines and desserts with exotic flavours.

To Discover - Anicka Yi

Pirelli HangarBicocca hosts Metaspore, the largest exhibition to date dedicated to the Korean artist Anicka Yi, twenty installations that combine art and science, the organic and the inorganic, exploring the concepts of metamorphosis and symbiosis. The works include Biologising the Machine, created especially for the Hangar in collaboration with the Department of Environmental and Earth Science of Bicocca University: seven glass cases housing a Winogradsky culture, an ecosystem of soil bacteria and algae created with soil samples.

To Chill - Rodi

There is a new cocktail bar in the Risorgimento area: a well-kept environment with orange walls, an outdoor space to be used in summer, an original cocktail selection and some Marche specialities as finger food. A selfie in the distorting space is a must!

To Shop - L'arabesque

L'arabesque is one of the most structured cult stores and is divided into four different realities that complement each other: the Design Gallery, full of European or Scandinavian design pieces from the 1950s and 1960s; the clothing shop, which houses their own brand collection combining vintage taste with a contemporary aesthetic; the bookshop, which offers old glories that are either unobtainable or out of print, as well as contemporary books. Finally, there is L'arabesque café, a pleasant cocktail bar, for breakfast and aperitifs as well as a room reserved for private events.
