Alo Oasis at Paris Fashion Week confirms that wellness is the new luxury The sportswear brand is reshaping the relationship between fashion and wellness

Alo, the American sportswear and lifestyle brand, returned to Paris this Fashion Week with Alo Oasis, a concept that could radically transform the relationship between fashion and wellness. From September 29 to October 3, guests were able to enjoy an immersive experience that included a menu inspired by California gastronomy curated by nutritionist Amy Shah, along with a selection of holistic treatments such as lymphatic drainage massages, facial sculpting sessions, and private training sessions.

For the occasion, Alo chose the prestigious Plaza Athénée hotel on the Champs-Élysées. The Sanctuary concept is the brand's new philosophy, aimed at transforming spaces into true temples of well-being. The choice of a minimalist and intimate venue made the project even more exclusive. At Alo Oasis, influencers, buyers, and editors were able to take Pilates classes and enjoy restorative massages between shows — an activation that confirms just how close the world of wellness has come to that of fashion. Where not long ago brand ambassadors like Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid were photographed in Alo-branded gyms around the world, today it is Alo itself that has become an ambassador for something else: wellness in fashion.

The idea that the customer is no longer just a consumer, but an active participant in a brand's advertising narrative, has become an established reality — not only for the California label famous for its leggings, but across the entire industry. More and more brands are drawing in wider audiences by entering spaces that were not previously their own. Immersive spaces like Alo Oasis allow visitors to experience the brand from every angle, trying out products while also enjoying a moment of relaxation or exercise.

More established brands like Nike are also embracing this strategy. The Swoosh brand offers events for its community, such as live-streamed group workouts and 10K community runs that not only satisfy the most loyal consumers but also amplify advertising reach. Among the initiatives launched, fully equipped, branded gyms make visitors feel like an integral part of the brand.

@jakeheyen Nike is officially back in the gym, but this time they’re not building their own. So Nike has been trying to crack the gym for years now. Back in 2023 they went all in and built their own, called Nike Studios. HIIT, running, and strength studios in LA and Austin. Earlier this year, they shut down every single one. But here’s where the story recently turned. Instead of forcing their own gyms, they are now partnering with on of the best gyms in the game. The Yard Gym (@theyardgym original sound - Jake Heyen

These innovations work because they make consumers feel valued and included in the brand's sometimes exclusive world — and as soon as they share stories of their holistic treatments or Alo-branded workouts on social media, they help build a truly effective media network. Clothes become reusable souvenirs, serving as a calling card that all but guarantees a return visit. Now that events like Paris Fashion Week stretch well beyond a single week, with events, pop-ups, and dinners multiplying across the calendars of industry buyers and influencers, we are likely to see more and more spaces like Alo Oasis emerge — available to visitors in exchange for countless reposts.
