May 6th, 2025
Camera Moda has announced the fifth edition of the CNMI Fashion Trust Grant, an initiative that strongly supports independent Made in Italy brands. The project doesn't just reward creativity, but guides emerging designers through a tailored journey of funding and high-level mentoring, thanks to the Trust’s exclusive network. The call for applications was launched in January on the official Camera Moda Fashion Trust website and received around eighty applications from across the country. After a careful selection by the technical committee, ten names were chosen that represent contemporary Italy through personal aesthetic languages, radical visions, and projects focused on sustainability and innovation: Giuseppe Buccinnà, Cavia, Federico Cina, Lessico Familiare, Victor Hart, Instituition, Saman Loira, Francesco Murano, Domenico Orefice, Moja Rowa.
The final appointment for the grant will be on May 29, when the finalists will meet the evaluation committee to present their collections and investment project for the funds. At the end of the discussion, a maximum of three brands will be selected and, starting from June 2025, will begin a growth path specifically designed for them with experts and key figures from the Italian fashion scene, in addition to receiving three prizes of 50,000 euros. The evaluation criteria will be creative vision, project solidity, and sustainability. «The future cannot ignore the new generation of creatives, which is why CNMI works alongside Camera Moda Fashion Trust to support them in creating collections that look to the future and sustainability, and to help independent designers in the development stages of their brand,» commented Carlo Capasa. On the evening of May 29, at Villa Necchi Campiglio, the CNMI Fashion Trust Grant 2025 Gala Dinner will take place, a night that promises to celebrate Italian fashion, but above all, its new talents.
