DSQUARED2's Pre Fall 2024 returns to the woods of Cocaine Bear

The inspiration for DSQUARED2's Pre Fall 2024 comes from nature, but in a cinematic context. After watching the comedy horror film Cocaine Bear, creative directors Dean and Dan Caten decided to create a capsule collection perfect for the film's setting—the woods. A couple, consisting of a man and a woman preparing for a weekend in a cabin, the protagonists of the two new collections wear looks perfect for classic outdoor activities, from fishing to hiking. In this Pre Fall collection, the typical Scottish pattern found in lumberjack outfits returns, paired with unexpected denim silhouettes and corduroy details. The color palette also looks to the world of Canadian landscapes: amber yellow, bark red, and rust, down to the ever-present forest green.

Among the novelties are blue and white checkered puffer jackets, denim jackets with Scottish inserts, knitwear featuring the enraged bear protagonist of the film, and bright yellow raincoats. The lookbook also includes outfits designed for nightlife, blending stylistic elements such as tutus and tuxedos with the distinctly streetstyle aesthetic that has always guided the brand's artistic direction. The collection is rich in details, particularly marked by scratches left by a bear, present on jackets, jeans, and scarves in equal measure. The footwear pays homage to the world of hiking, with warm interiors and functional silhouettes, while the bags capture the sharp and edgy spirit of DSQUARED2, from denim clutches to shoulder bags adorned with studs and accessories.
