The first Louis Vuitton collection by Pharrell will open Paris Fashion Week In apetura della Paris Fashion Week

Pharrell Williams' debut at the helm of Louis Vuitton menswear will come sooner than expected. The producer and designer will present his first collection for the French fashion house at 8:30 p.m. on June 20, the opening day of Paris Fashion Week Menswear and two days earlier than in the past. The event obviously promises to be one of the most anticipated of the upcoming French Fashion Week, which will run from June 20-25 with some 43 shows and 38 presentations scheduled (slightly more than last year's edition).

Officially appointed last February after a series of rumors, Williams picks up the heavy legacy left by Virgil Abloh and carried on in the months following the Off-White™ founder's passing by Louis Vuitton's creative team. Much has been said about what Pharrell's choice means, far from the training of a classic designer and closer to the idea of a modern tastemaker who will guide the Maison in its plurality of ideas and outputs. After much speculation, in a little less than a month, we will finally be able to see what direction Louis Vuitton will go in under Pharrell's leadership.
