Pharrell Williams is the new menswear creative director of Louis Vuitton After today's rumors, confirmation came from the brand itself

UPDATE 14.02.23: Following rumors earlier today, Louis Vuitton confirmed the appointment of Pharrell Williams as the new Creative Director of the brand's Menswear collections. «I am delighted to welcome Pharrell,» said LV President Pietro Beccari. «His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton into an exciting new chapter.» Pharrell's first signature collection will be presented in June, during Paris Fashion Week.

In one of his early fashion projects, in the early 2000s, Pharrell had forged a fruitful relationship with A BATHING APE founder and Japanese fashion guru Nigo, now creative director of Kenzo. Together the two had founded two brands-Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream. Then in 2008, again Pharrell had collaborated with Louis Vuitton, at the time headed by Marc Jacobs, to produce the Millionaire line of sunglasses-a now legendary model still worth thousands of dollars on the secondary market. In later years Pharrell collaborated with Chanel, becoming the first man to appear in a major campaign for the brand, walking the runway for the Pre-Fall 2015 collection and appearing again in a 2017 campaign and then collaborating with Karl Lagerfeld on an entire collection for the brand in 2019. Also Pharrell did a famous collaboration with adidas and recently launched a skin care line as well - both under the name Human Race.
