The 90s come back to life in a sustainable sneaker

The new capsule collection by ACBC and MISSONI The 90s come back to life in a sustainable sneaker

ACBC and MISSONI reinterpret an archive sneaker in a sustainable key in their capsule collection out on February 2nd. The two Made in Italy companies continue the eco-friendly and vibrantly colored collaboration, bringing the iconic nineties to life through an archival gem. ACBC, a Milanese company expert in the design and production of sustainable footwear, and Missoni, the historic Italian fashion and design maison, reconfirm the sharing of values, such as competence, ability in the new Basket '90 footwear.

The Milanese start-up has succeeded in keeping the distinctive DNA of the brand founded by the Missoni couple unchanged, making an archive piece contemporary. The unisex Basket model of the sneaker collection, declined in the low and high variants, is characterized by the presence of unmistakable elements of the art of knit: the bright colors, the logo and the famous graphic pattern of the Missoni zig zag are the protagonists together with the materials carefully selected sustainable products. The product, completely Made in Italy, has an upper made from fruit scraps, an internal lining and a heel made with the recycling of plastic bottles. The sole, entirely customized, is made of rubber and materials derived from corn, so as to guarantee the circularity of the shoe and a lower environmental impact. Ethics, aesthetics, innovation and history come together to show that high fashion and respect for the environment can find a meeting point.

The shoes will be on sale in the ACBC and Missoni stores and on the e-commerce sites of both brands - acbc.com and missoni.com.
