On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the founder's birth, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with 200 creatives from all over the world to create as many customized trunks that celebrate the brand's heritage. Among the collaborators involved are also Nigo, Samuel Ross, BTS, Paralympic athlete Theo Curin, comedian Alison Wheeler and artists such as Mr. Flower Fantastic, Antony Micallef and Qualeasha Wood. Each designer worked on a 50x50x100 trunk, the same size as the original Louis Vuitton trunk created in 1850, which at the time found immense success for its flat lid and waterproof coating. Each work will then be presented in the windows of the brand's boutiques around the world.

In December, the trunks will be auctioned through Sotheby's with proceeds going to a charity that will be selected by Louis Vuitton. In addition, always on the occasion of the celebrations of "Louis 200", which will continue for the rest of the year, the brand will present a portrait of the founder painted by Alex Katz; will publish Vuitton's biography in the form of a novel by writer Caroline Bongrand and produce a documentary on AppleTV. Meanwhile, at the beginning of the month, the video game Louis: The Game was presented, which sees Louis Vuitton's mascot, Vivienne, face a six-level mission in which there are also NDTs, some of which were created by digital artist Beeple.
