The eight-time All-Star NBA Russell Westbrook launched a capsule collection in collaboration with Acne Studios., after their first collaboration for the SS19 campaign. You will find it available online, in selected Acne Studios retailers and, exclusively, on Highsnobiety's online shop from October 28th. The collection explores the connection between sportswear and pret-à-porter through a series of outerwear pieces, jeans, shorts and shirts with in common a material that has always been a staple of the Swedish maison: denim.

The color palette is fresh and neutral: acid light blue, jade green, white and black. The use and finishings of the material perfectly express Acne Studios' style and personality and are the product of its most sophisticated techniques. Among the most noteworthy pieces, there's the denim anorak with its large frontal pocket and a coulisse at the bottom. Oversized pockets are also the principal feature of the utility vest which is decorated with a piping detail along the stitching

The jeanses, which have always been a part of Acne Studios' DNA, have a very classic, cigarette-legged cut, have five pockets and are presented in the two colorways that distinguish the collection with washed finishings and overdyed touches. The denim shorts are instead slightly longer and have an oversized silhouette. Minimalistic short-sleeved shirts close the collection with their distinctive stitching along the button line.

The Russell Westbrook x Acne Studio capsule represents an ideal fusion between sportswear inspiration and nordic minimalism, all based on praticality, freedom of movement and sartorial attention to the detail. “Acne Studios is already an unbelievable brand that speaks for itself, so I’m just happy and blessed to have a collection with them and to be able to show my creative side”, says Russell Westbrook.
