In 2014 the Air Max Lunar90 SP "Moon Landing" was launched to pay homage to the 45th anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's landing on the Moon with the Apollo 11 mission. That year Nike decided it was time to "land" on another planet. On March 16th, the Air Max 90 "Mars Landing" is scheduled to be released, whose silhouette pattern recalls the surface of the red planet, Mars. The 3M (reflective) upper is seamless, the tabs are silver as well as the branding on the heel, while the laces recall the colors of Mars and magma with bright orange. Even the mid-sun speckled recalls the successful release of the "Moon Landing" of 2014.
