Oakley drops Thermonuclear Protection Collection Drawing inspiration from the brand’s rich heritage in motocross, while honoring classic 90’s California style

We’ve been seeing them come back around lately, and with the nineties inspiration we’re currently in the middle of, it seems only fitting that eyewear brand Oakley is releasing their new Thermonuclear Protection capsule collection today. Returning with their iconic all reflective silhouettes that were the glasses to wear in the 90’s, when the extreme sports boom was taking over the world, the collection draws inspiration from the brand’s rich heritage in motocross, while honoring classic 90’s California style. Incorporating the iconic throwback Oakley logo, primary bold color hues and oversized graphics, the second installment of the Thermonuclear Protection Capsule Collection is bold, dynamic and avant-garde.

The collection includes t-shirts, fleece, pants, outerwear, and accessories, including two limited edition colors of Oakley’s iconic Mumbo frame, which were the frames that brought the extreme sport eyewear aesthetic into the mainstream from sports to leisure, to popular culture, Oakley changed to world we see, and the way we see it.

Released today, check out the collection above, if you want to relive or revive the glory years of Oakley’s Thermonuclear shades.
