The new era of Oakley Oakley Jackets return for the "Japan Field Gear Line Collection"

The Oakley Jackets challenge eyewear conventions, ever since their debut in 1994, revolutionizing the concept of sports eyewear through their wraparound dual-lens design. Conceived for those who seek something more, they have gone beyond mere performance, establishing themselves as a true status symbol. Today, in 2026, the story continues: with the same pioneering spirit, Oakley Jackets evolve, constantly pushing the boundaries of design, making their way into Oakley’s "Artifacts from the Future": objects where art and design merge, conceived for tomorrow yet already available today.
The new Jackets collection draws inspiration from the brand’s historical models, such as Eye Jacket (1994), Straight Jacket (1999), Racing Jacket (1998), Water Jacket (2000) and Flak Jacket (2007). This heritage translates into a fusion of style and functionality, where categories merge, opening up new frontiers in eyewear design. These are glasses that “dress” the face, echoing the way garments dress the body.
Among the new releases are models designed for different needs, such as Plantaris SQ, which transforms the original silhouette with squared lenses, while Neoforma maintains a dynamic and bold aesthetic. Terraforma, on the other hand, features a futuristic design. Optical frames are also included for those who want to incorporate the Jackets aesthetic into everyday life: Neoture and Neomata balance nostalgia and contemporaneity, while for those more attached to tradition, the iconic Eye Jacket Redux, revisited in 2019, makes a return. And starting in April, Suture Jacket will be available, characterized by a more aggressive aesthetic, almost like performance armor.
A distinctive element is the versatility, in terms of styling, of each Jackets model when paired with Oakley’s Japan Field Gear Line Collection, a highly innovative apparel line developed in Japan and designed to protect against the elements. For instance, the Plantaris SQ and Neomata models integrate with the FGL Stealth Line capsule (including Stealth jacket, tee and pants), a line defined by minimal design and “invisible” functionalities, created to blend into the surrounding environment.
Eye Jacket Redux pairs perfectly with the FGL AP Vest, a vest designed to provide protection and carry equipment even in the most extreme conditions. For warmer climates, Neoforma and Neoture match with the FGL Slick Crew sweatshirt and FGL Factor Shorts, garments specifically engineered to be breathable. The result is a complete, head to toe look, ready to face any “mission” by combining style and technology.
