The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Plus and Melissa's new sneakers In a black and white version

The world of COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Plus has definitely "sneakerized". The numerous collaborations with giants of this category - Converse or for example Nike - aren't enough because now, after having presented its SS18 collection where protagonists are three Nike Air Max 180 in pink edition, the Japanese brand undertakes a new adventure alongside those who knows well the shoes: Melissa.

Always a producer of women shoes, the Brazilian brand led by Edson Matsuo, assimilates the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Plus' philosophy and merges it with its own. What's the result? Geometric sneakers, characterized by minimal colors (they are indeed produced only in black and white as CdG style) and, as the Creative Director says:

"the surprising thing is that it’s a product with no sole, and no top as if it were a single thing".

An unconventional, almost unexpected silhouette. Is it perhaps the new future of the sneakers in which there will no longer be the division between the upper and the sole? Will they become the same thing to guarantee greater comfort and wearability?

We have to wait for the release of the new COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Plus x Melissa sneakers.

But stay tuned!
