PUMA and Footpatrol celebrate Japan with the Tsugi Shinsei Sashiko A sneaker inspired by the ancient technique of Japanese embroidery

Japan, its unmistakable costumes and its historic tradition, continues to influence the Occidental world of sneakers once again and, this time, it's the turn of the well-known sportswear brand PUMA with the London store Footpatrol to celebrate their culture.

A product of this union is the new Tsugi Shinsei "Sashiko", sneakers inspired by "next", a Japanese word that in our language means "next", unconventional design elements merge to create an aesthetic enriched by an unmistakable oriental touch . "Shinsei", instead, means "to be reborn", to regenerate itself influenced by the constant inspirations of the world and, in this case, by Sashiko, the ancient technique of Japanese embroidery.

This, originally used to decorate the Kimono, becomes an emblematic element of the Tsugi Shinsei "Sashiko". During a trip in Japan, the Footpatrol team met Akie Ginza, a Sashiko expert who, thanks to his experience, has sent the magic of this process, which consists in realizing lines drawn in small strings on all the fabric.

The oriental mood is also presented in the color of the shoes, presented in Capulet Olive and Birch version, with contrasting rubber sole, with upper in premium leather, nubuck details and cotton canvas with inner sock in knit.

The new PUMA trainer Tsugi Shinsei Footpatrol "Sashiko" is available in Italy, exclusively, at Slam Jam and One Block Down in Milan, at Sneakers76 (Taranto) and at (Suede Store) in Rome.
