Puma unveils a sneaker that develops a patina over time The German brand teams up with J.L-A-L for a highly technical capsule collection

After unveiling the new version of the CELL Geo during Paris Fashion Week in June 2025, the launch date is drawing closer and the colorways are becoming clearer: a brown “Ombré” and a deep blue shade aptly named “Midnight.” Much like leather jackets and bags that age beautifully over the years, this sneaker is designed to evolve with time: the shoe’s top layer will gradually fade, creating a unique gradient specific to each pair.

Alongside the sneaker is a technical wardrobe composed of a jacket, pants, a T-shirt, and a baseball cap. Completing the set is a brown hobo bag, the perfect companion for both city outings and time spent outdoors. This collaboration between the global giant Puma and the more niche label J.L-A-L successfully reimagines techwear on the cusp of spring. To illustrate the second-skin effect of the pieces, the two brands opt for a clean, silent backdrop that highlights the models’ movements—enabled by the comfort of garments designed to support rather than restrict.

To coincide with the release, Truss Archive will premiere a short documentary dedicated to the PUMA x J.L-A-L collaboration, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the design and creation process.

The PUMA x J.L-A-L collection will be available starting February 21, 2026, on PUMA.com, in PUMA flagship stores, and at selected PUMA retailers.
