An exhibition celebrates the irreverent collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and Juergen Teller 10 years of iconic and radical photographs

The one between Vivienne Westwood, her husband (and creative partner since 1993) Andreas Kronthaler and Juergen Teller is a friendship that lasts for over twenty years, but it is all a ten-year artistic collaboration that has produced iconic and irreverent images, including the famous series that portrays the bare designer at 68.

Now, this prolific partnership is celebrated in a major exhibition entitled Vivienne Westwood, Andreas Kronthaler, Juergen Teller open in New York until November 2017. The six floors of the new Dame Viv brand building in Manhattan are filled with editorials, advertising campaigns, portraits, archival clothing, original objects of the various photographic sets, which, together, tell the many art projects made by the trio since the 90s to today.

"Juergen’s got something very rare, he’s got really good taste, and more than anything that makes him good at his work", explains the English designer, "Juergen somehow always manages to get the picture, he gets to the route of the matter every time when he takes a photograph".

At the inauguration of the event during the New York fashion week, there were many stars, such as Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson, Chloë Sevigny, Anna Cleveland and Tavi Gevinson. Besides the exhibition, it was published a book of 258 pages published in a limited edition by InOtherWords, and graphically edited by OK-RM, which documents the collaboration between Westwood, Kronthaler, and Teller, available at the Vivienne Westwood's boutiques around the world.
