The clues are piling up and leave little room for doubt: La Fève is preparing to reach a new milestone. Following the announcement of an arena tour planned for next year - with confirmed dates in Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, and Lille - red posters plastered across the Paris metro now display the message "FINIS-LES" in capital letters. While remaining cryptic and having shared no official date for his debut album, the rapper is orchestrating his comeback with precision. Just weeks after his single "Loyal" (from the project 24) was certified gold, surpassing 15 million streams, the artist chose this Friday, August 28th, to drop the visual for a brand-new track: "2026". On this production, La Fève’s vocals blend with the harmonies of the Orchestre Azur.

A dark, cinematic art direction

For this project, La Fève wants to make a strong statement. Directed by Rayan Rey, the video features a series of sleek scenes packed with heavy cinematic references, taking cues from The Devil's Advocate, American Psycho, and Death Note. It is a visual aesthetic fueled by the imagery of "mythical cinema characters, dark, standing alone against the world," as confirmed by his stylist, Léa Villemin.

Between nighttime shots atop a skyscraper and rain falling upward into the sky, the mood contrasts sharply with the "Finis-les" music video released in late June. Set in an Afro shop in the Strasbourg-Saint-Denis district, that clip has already racked up nearly 2 million views on YouTube. With "2026", the artist takes the exact opposite direction by showcasing near-total solitude: in the only shot where he appears surrounded, the extras end up collapsing.

This duality demonstrates the range of his visual palette and fits into a broader, step-by-step creative approach. "I think he works in eras - ERRR, 24, and now FINIS-LES," notes Léa Villemin. "We create a new evolution for the character with every project, a new skin. Since it’s his debut album, there’s naturally more maturity, which is reflected in the silhouettes and his fashion choices."

An architectural wardrobe

Visually, this high level of ambition extends to the choice of a structured wardrobe, designed to assert his step up in scale. "The clothes reflect a certain lifestyle, a stage in his career that complements some lyrics while contrasting with others," the stylist continues. "They confirm his success and his shifting status in French rap."

To bring this ambition to life, Léa Villemin drew heavily from the latest Loewe collections, led by the duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, featuring sharp, tailored black suit sets. One of them comes from the Fall-Winter 2026 collection: "He wears it throughout the clip with the Grip Aqua sneakers and the Speed Shield mask from the brand. The technical fabric and the styling give the silhouette a modern, quite unique look. Just like him!"

To complete these nocturnal tableaus, iconic pieces from Balenciaga reinforce the artist’s posture, notably a commanding brown coat worn while facing the void. It’s a key shot that captures the energy of this comeback, marking the highlight of the video according to the stylist: "When he’s on the roof, at the top." Before concluding: "We can't wait for the album to drop."
