David Beckham took the final step to become “The most amazing man on heart”. During the current London Fashion Week, Becks got to tear down one of the biggest and most resilient dogmas in every men’s life: parental uncoolness. For every son, father is everything but cool, a hero maybe, but always badly dressed. And it was the same for Beckham until now: “I kept telling Brooklyn that newspapers pointed at me as one of the best dressed men in the world, but he kept telling me I wasn’t at all”, he said a few days ago at the Telegraph.

So, you will understand ex Spice Boy’s enthusiasm when on Sunday is older son modeled at London Fashion Week wearing the new Kent & Curwen collection, an ancient english brand, born in 1926, of which Beckham become business partner, trying to take it back to the top with the help of Daniel Kearns.

The brand has a strong sports vocation, being connected from the very beginning to Cricket and Rugby. This was what convinced David to bet on Kent & Curwen in the realization of a new collection “Which I would wear”. The collection presented yesterday has a strong english proud element, combining the Three Lions and England Rose symbols with clearly retro element, like sixties’ bomber, Peaky Blinded styled flat caps and much more.

At the Telegraph, Beckham said: “We went to stables and vintage markets, trying to find an ancient imagine of myself, Steve McQueen’s, James Dean’s, Paul McCartney’s and Mick Jagger’s, mixed with old pictures of 1966 World Cup, when All Ramsay used to wear and old zip sweatshirt”.

The collection is available on Kent & Curwen website and if you like sixties British aesthetics that’s what you need.
