The Formula E in analog

The heat is causing the asphalt of the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli to sizzle on an almost summer-like day in Misano Adriatico. It's Italy's turn to host the upcoming rounds of the Formula E World Championship: since the International Automobile Federation (FIA) decided not to include Rome again in the 2024 calendar, the circuit in Romagna, already steeped in motorsport history, has become the temporary Italian home of Formula E. The cars zoom at lightning speed even in qualifying, setting up the starting grid for rounds 6 and 7 where the teams will compete on Saturday and Sunday. It's an especially thrilling weekend for the Porsche TAG Heuer team with António Félix da Costa and Pascal Wehrlein. Shortly after the conclusion of the first ePrix event, it's announced that the Portuguese driver is disqualified due to a technical infringement - handing over the first-place victory of Race 1 to Oliver Rowland of Nissan. Instead, German driver Wehrlein claims victory in Race 2 on Sunday. The notes of the German anthem echo loudly over Misano, the former Formula One driver Wehrlein dominating the Formula E World Championship standings.
