Louis Vuitton's trunks for the 2023 Ballon d'Or The French brand has partnered with the award given by France Football

On 30 October, the Ballon D'Or will be awarded by France Football to the best footballer and the best female footballer of 2023. The award, created in 1956 for men and 2018 for women, will again this year be voted on by 100 journalists from around the world, the novelty for 2023 is in the way the trophy will be presented to the winners. For 2023, Louis Vuitton has created two special trunks handmade by the French maison's artisans specifically to hold the prizes, which are most likely to be awarded to Lionel Messi and almost certainly to a Spanish female footballer, with Aitana Bonmatí, world champion at the last Women's World Cup.

By becoming the official partner of the Ballon d'Or, Louis Vuitton continues its tradition of making trunks for the world's most important sports trophies. In fact, for several years now, the brand has been devoting great attention to sport and has recently been increasing its list of Ambassadors by drawing from the world's greatest athletes, including Carlos Alcaraz and Lebron James. The trunk is covered by the historic monogram with gold details recalling the Ballon d'Or. The photos published by the brand show the process of making the two trunks and the tools used by the artisans, while waiting for the ceremony to be held at the Théâtre de Chatelet in Paris.
