Paolo Banchero is a new Jordan Brand athlete

The rumors had been growing, and just ahead of the start of the new NBA season came the confirmation that Paolo Banchero, the first overall pick in last year's Draft, will be the new face of Jordan Brand. The new Orlando Magic player joins the big Jordan Brand family, and he does so by eating a hamburger branded with the Jumpman through a video made together with Howard "H" White in the same diner in Oregon where the historic vice president stopped before his meeting with Micheal Jordan that changed sneakers history. 

That detail alone would be enough to explain the expectations Jordan has placed on the first overall pick of the 2022 Draft who is ready to make his NBA debut, and who joins a top-tier company that includes Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic. "The opportunity to be part of the Jordan family means everything to me," Banchero said. "I grew up wearing Jordans and now to be a part of his brand is truly a dream come true." It's an important endorsement for what bookmakers say is the leading favorite for the Rookie of the Year Award and one we hope to see in a national Italian jersey soon.
