In football, basketball and sport in general, there are exultations, poses and gestures that fans and enthusiasts find hard to forget. In this imagery of iconic poses and movements there is certainly the jubilation of Usain Bolt, one of the greatest athletes the history of sport has seen. "My jubilation gesture is a Jamaican dance step that I customised. It means 'To the world', from Jamaica to the whole world. I saw Japanese kids doing it too." It is a pose that the Jamaican sprinter has decided to make his own forever, officially registering it as a trademark, just as Nike did with silhouettes of basketball player Michael Jordan in the act of making a dunk. It is not yet clear what this logo will be used for, but according to early rumours, Usain Bolt intends to create a huge brand capable of ranging from sportswear through bars and restaurants to eyewear.

A pose known to the general public since 2008, when a young and still promising Usain Bolt showed up at the Beijing Olympics, having achieved the second best performance ever in the 100 metres flat. Precisely at the Olympics where he will attest to his dominance by beating his compatriot Powell and setting a new world record with a time of 9"69, the Jamaican sprinter will celebrate for the first time with what will become his 'trademark' and which has officially been his new logo since a few days.
