Usain Bolt could really start his career as a footballer

Usain Bolt could really start his career as a footballer In March he should have a trial with Borussia Dortmund, but he dreams of Manchester United

The childish dreams, we all know that, are some of the hardest things to give up, even when someone’s not so young anymore. And one of Olympic champion Usain Bolt’s recurring dreams was to become a Manchester United footballer. Maybe is now time that the Jamaican’s dream becomes true.

According to what reported by Bolt to The Daily Express, it can really be so. Apparently, PUMA, that is the sponsor of both the Jamaican Olympic and Borussia Dortmund’s, is setting a trial for Bolt with the team, giving him the chance to compete with professional footballers. “If they say I’m good, and that I need a bit of training, I’ll do it,” Bolt shared with The Daily Express. “One of my biggest dreams is to sign for Manchester United. If Dortmund says I’m good enough, I’ll crack on and train hard. I’ve spoken to Alex Ferguson and I told him he needs to put in a good word. He told me if I get fit and ready, he will see what he can do.”

If you think that this is some sort of joke, you’re wrong. It’s true that Bolt’s football abilities are yet to be determined, but he still is one of the greatest athletes that the history of sports has seen. And that, of course, won’t accept to be just a “regular” footballer. “I want to play but it has to be in the top league. I’m not content to be average,” Bolt says. “It’s going to be hard because my career has been so great, but if I could win a Champions League or something, it’ll be close to anything I achieved in athletics. I have to be more than average. It has to be in the top league… I want to be the best.” You’ve been warned.
