After having built a solid base in European soccer, starting with the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne, Roc Nation Sports International moves its first steps also in the international market landing in MLS with the announcement that Jack McGlynn will be part of Jay-Z agency. The young midfielder for Union Philadelphia and the U.S. U20 National Team made his mark during last season, which he ended by scoring the decisive penalty against Nashville SC in the MLS playoffs. "It is a great honor to be the first MLS soccer player to sign with Roc Nation Sports International," he said. "The agency has seen great success across the pond, and I trust them to help me navigate the rest of my career, both on and off the field."

The expansion of Roc Nation Sports into the North American soccer market comes just after the hiring of former national team and Major League Soccer legend Chris Wingert as head of international soccer for North America, a clear sign of the agency's desire to invest in MLS. Although born in the States, Roc Nation in fact had not yet attacked the stars and stripes football market, preferring the European one and especially the Premier League. Instead, it has under contract various athletes in the NBA, NFL and MBL, the main US sports franchises, such as LaMelo Ball and Saquon Barkley.
