The virtual kit trend has become a must in the world of digital football, attracting creators and designers from all walks of life. The latest in a long line is Domenico Formichetti, who with his brand Formy Studio has created some game kits for FIFA 22 in which the style of the Italian designer is combined with the style of football.
Flames and psychedelic colours are the two main ingredients of these new kits, designed to bring a new streetwear contamination to the FIFA videogame by taking some of the classic elements of Formy designs. The four different kits, available in multiple colours, will be available within the VOLTA football mode, designed to bring all the appeal of street football to the EA Sports videogame.
If virtual kits have become a constant in the world of FIFA, seeing the name of an Italian designer linked to the most famous football videogame is certainly an achievement that tells of the evolution and growth of a phenomenon that over time has gone beyond the confines of sport to become a veritable virtual laboratory capable of attracting names from the world of fashion.
