Angel City FC the new women's team in Los Angeles The team founded by Natalie Portman will make its debut in spring 2022

It's called Angel City Football Club (ACFC) and will be the first women's team in Los Angeles. Founded by Natalie Portman with other illustrious American stars and entrepreneurs, it will make its debut in 2022 in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The logo, designed by Amedea Tassinari, and the club's official colours have recently been unveiled. A true tribute to the city, from the iconic colours of the sunsets to the palm trees, all the characteristic elements are enclosed in a single coat of arms to make all the inhabitants of Los Angeles feel part of a community. The angel, the central element of the crest, stands for Angel City's mission to be a positive light, which we told you about here, in the world of football, for an open and inclusive team that wants to break the usual clichés.

"In this great city known for its endless sunsets and legendary stars, our visual identity needed to pay homage to these important symbols of Los Angeles, but also signal what Angel City stands for - a more equitable future for all," said Julie Uhrman, president of ACFC.

To celebrate the birth of the Southern California team, the NFT logo was also released, split into several parts and distributed to all club members. This marks the official start of the Angel City era, which from 2022 will fight off the field for a fairer future for all, while at the Banc of California Stadium it will fight to win the title from year one.
