The new Arsenal away shirt by adidas The Pearl Citrine and the Gunners cannon are back

adidas football and Arsenal have just launched next season's second kit, a throwback that recalls the (winning) history of the North London club. As analyzed in the analysis on the evolution of striped shirts, once again the archives beat creativity, bringing to light the aesthetic masterpieces that have made the clubs that have worn them so iconic. Arsenal's time travel is exactly 50 years: the color palette chosen for the away shirt for the 2021-22 season recalls the "Collegiate Navy" and "Pearl Citrine" used by Arsenal in the 70s and in particular the 70-71 vintage kit, that of the first historic Double FA Cup - Premier in the history of the Gunners.

There are two peculiarities of the shirt: the first concerns the new logo used on the left side, with the cannon returning to an Arsenal kit after the last appearance in 1991 and the continuous use on away shirts from 1976 until the end of the 80s; the second, on the other hand, is found inside the shirt, with a stylized icon by Thierry Henry followed by the words "Arsenal for Everyone" to celebrate the great and heterogeneous family of the Gunners.
