AC Milan against the hate speech It's the first Serie A club to sign theParole_O_Stili's paper

AC Milan this season has proposed - like many other clubs - several extra-sporting initiatives - from the NFT, to the fashion collections to the concerts with Roc Nation. Now, the Rossonero club will be the first Serie A club to sign the "Manifesto della comunicazione non ostile per lo sport", an initiative developed by the Italian association Parole_O_Stili. It's a paper against hate speech and all forms of discrimination, declined in ten points, with the aim of educating people to the noble values of sport. The signing of the document is part of Milan's RESPACT programme, an initiative founded by the club at the end of 2020 to organize events dedicated to inclusion and respect for diversity. On the pitch, but also outside.

The event was attended by Ivan Gazidis (AC Milan CEO), Franco Baresi (AC Milan Vice President Onorio), Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi (Women's First Team Footballer),  Davide Calabria (AC Milan defender) and Rosy Russo (President of Parole O_stili). In the presentation, the CEO of the Rossoneri explained: "Social equality and inclusion are the cornerstones of the Club's long-term vision, as well as the fundamental values that can help drive positive social change.Rosy Russo's president explained: "Parole_O_Stili was born years ago to counter violent language through a community of journalists, politicians and influencers. We want to get closer to people and that's why we work with so many different spheres of society, from school to science. And now sport. Especially because - Russo continues - everyone has to do theirs and AC Milan, signing the manifesto, I hope it will also attract other teams in this initiative".

The manifesto is complete with ten points to avoid any form of linguistic and aptitude discrimination, and Milan wanted to give a strong message as the first Serie A team to participate in the initiative. In fact, Gazidis explained that: "Milan continuously invests in prevention and behavior against violence, both digital and concrete. We are a society that cares about integration, and in fact, it is the feeling behind RESPACT: Awareness Raising, Education, Prevention and Sharing".
