Fortuna D. realeased the fourth kit in collaboration with Die Toten Hosen The last chapter of the partnership between the Düsseldorf club and the German rock band

Fortuna Düsseldorf presented a special kit in collaboration with "Die Toten Hosen", a rock band born in Düsseldorf in 1982, that developed over the years a strong bond with Fortuna. In 1989 the band organized a fundraiser to support the club, facing a financial crisis at that time. To celebrate this thirty-year friendship, Fortuna's players will wear - during the match against Bayern Munich on November 23rd - the "Alles Aus Liebe" ("All for love") special kit, a tribute to one of the greatest hits of the band.

This is not the first time that the band is part of the Flingeraner jersey. In 2001 Die Toten Hosen organized a campaign to support Fortuna Düsseldorf, to help out the club financially, offering to sponsor the kits for two seasons. The jerseys were among the best-selling shirts in the history of the club, that decided to jump on the success of those kits after almost twenty years. The jersey will be the fourth used by Fortuna in this season, very similar to the third (included, moreover, among the 10 best third kits selected by nss sports).

This kind of partnership is generally rare, but it's certainly not the first time that some popular bands have developed a close bond with football. The Libertines sponsored an English non-league team, the Mogwai provided the jerseys for a Scottish elementary school and, different in these terms, the Kaiser Chiefs chose a name that was taken from South African football club Kaizer Chiefs, showing how this two worlds are closer than they might appear.

The kits are available on the official website and they costs 79.95€.
