AS Roma & IKEA: a Twitter love story

AS Roma & IKEA: a Twitter love story The AS Roma twitter account put on another show, this time with the help of IKEA Italia

In the past we've already talked about the AS Roma twitter acccount - especially its English version - which in the last few months has become a real 'cult' account in the Twitter community, thanks to its always new, funny and original contents. Also in the past few days, the profile of the club has gifted its followers some gems revolving around the Malcom-Barcelona issue, managing to find a way to make Twitter users laugh about a quite thorny situation. On this occasion, even the IKEA Italia twitter account weighed in, exchanging a series of funny 'IKEA' themed tweets.

Welcome Olsen

Everything started July 24, when AS Roma introduced Robin Olsen, Swedish doorman coming from Copenhagen football club, picked to replace Alisson. Joking about the doorman's nationality, Roma introduced him with a graphic very similar to IKEA's instructions font: but you know, what goes around comes around.

Malcom Package

After a few hours, in fact, Rome was completely surprised by Malcom and Bordeaux, since the player 'cheated' on the Italian football club - medical visits were already planned - to go to Barcelona. In that precise moment, IKEA didn't think about it twice and immediately delivered a 'package' to Rome, always via Twitter. We're told that Målcöm is a beautiful nightstand...

Ps: Of course the Rome FC account had the comeback ready, complaining about the poor delivery service

Messi

But it didn't end there. Rome made another tweet- maybe its last - after President Pallotta's statements. "Barça did us a disservice. How can they make it up? I don't know, probably only by giving us Messi." Said and done, the IKEA order was sent, even though we will hardly see a truck of the Swedish chain deliver the Flea in Trigoria.
