Nike unveiled new AS Roma away kit
The whole shirt is inspired by the myth of the She-Wolf and the foundation of Rome

After the first session of shirts a few weeks ago and a proper break to leave room for the World Cup kickoff, Nike Football started to unveil new kits for the 2018/2019 season once again and - after Inter’s one - is now time to see the new away kit for AS Roma. The jersey, that has white sleeves and a light grey body, features the return of the Lupetto, the historic symbol of Rome that is a reference to the myth of the foundation of the city by twins Romulus and Remus, raised by the She-Wolf.
The Lupetto, that made its first appearance in 1978 and the last one two seasons ago, has been placed in the back side of the necklace, where there also is the only color section of the shirt, two vertical red and yellow stripes. “This kit is quite simply a color story inspired by the wolf,” explains Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director. “A classy wolf grey kit fits well with the mythology surrounding the city and how the club places great value on this important symbol. The Lupetto is iconic for the club. we have used it as an outer pride feature.”
