Croatia shirt for the 2018 World Cup

For this very reason, Nike Football didn’t want to dispossess the old design for the 2018 World Cup, keeping the iconic design of the Croatia shirt. “Croatians are deeply proud of their heritage, that comes through in the checkered shirts, which are inspired by the national flag”, says Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director.

Of course, it wasn’t only the aesthetic element that made Croatia one of the most beloved national team, but also the constant presence in the élite of world football, other than the presence of champions that succeeded one another with the national team shirt. The chess design is used both on the home kit - with the classic white and red colors - and the away one, proposed with a combination of black and purple.
