Almost every NBA enthusiast knows about Jimmy Butler’s story, the American league’s superstar that now plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves. His humble origins, marked by a tragic familiar situation, shaped a tranquil guy, with a great respect for the value of money. Som, Jimmy is a responsible guy with his earnings… Well, at least when it doesn’t come to sneakers. In his recent return to the United Center, in fact, Butler wore a pair of Air Jordans which value was around the $20K dollars.

The incriminated sneaker is the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 Retro, a shoe release back in 2015 to celebrate Slim Shady Records’ fifteenth anniversary. It was a “for family and friends” version, sold at auction for the impressive amount of $30K dollars. Now, its value is dropped but it’s still a sneaker that worths around $15/20K dollars. Not bad for a regular season game, not a random game though, that also ended up bad. Even if Jimmy Butler dropped 38 points, his T-Wolves ended up losing the game. On the other hand, the sneaker game only had one winner.
