Within the NBA regular season’s thick agenda, there’s a date - or better, three dates - that are circled in red in all calendars. We’re talking about February 16, 17, and 18, the three days when there will be the All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. This year there’s so much to talk about, particularly for the umpteenth renewal of the format, that will consider two “captains” that will have to draft their teammates, just like at the playground. This will also influence another important element of the weekend: the Nike-branded uniforms.

On Twitter, there already are some leaks of alleged All-Star Game uniforms and there are many new and interesting details. First of all, we cannot notice that, among the two patches placed on the front part of the shirts, there are KIA logo - the event’s main sponsor - and most of all the Jumpman, Jordan Brand’s iconic symbol. According to some insiders, Nike’s subdivision will sponsor the two All-Star teams’ uniforms, depriving (figure of speech) the Swoosh of the so-awaited honor.

The second important element is the return of franchises’ logos, in plain sight on the front part of the shirt. Looking at the leaks published on Twitter by Graphic Designer Conrad Burry, you can appreciate Cleveland and Golden State’s logos on Steph Curry and LeBron James’ jerseys. It had been several years since the league provided this solution, preferring shirts with the "EAST/WEST" writing or without any reference whatsoever. Truth to be told, with the new format some teammates could face each other in opposite teams during the All-Star Game and they will be more recognizable thanks to the logos on the uniforms.

Finally, a note about the uniforms’ style. The two jerseys should have the most classic color contrast ever: white and black. Actually, a closer look seems to reveal a dark gray and creamy white tones, but the visual impact remains the same. The logos will have the opposite color than the shirt, just like numbers’ outline and name on the back. The jersey is completed by the iconic All-Star Game stars. Right now, this news should be filed as a rumor, but while waiting for an official statement this is probably your first glance to the 2018 All-Star Game uniforms by Jordan Brand.
