After collaborating together for 23 years, the FAI – Football Association of Ireland – has announced the end of the sponsorship by Umbro: a few days ago against Austria, Ireland played its last game at the Aviva Stadium wearing the historic shirt by Umbro. The FAI has confirmed that from September, New Balance will replace Umbro and its debut will be the match against Georgia.

1996-1998
This is the classic shirt during the late 90s: collar, stripes on the shoulders and a lot of nostalgia.
2001-2003
We could not miss the shirt with which Ireland played the World Cup in Korea in 2002. At that time, the team dragged by Robbie Keane was able to go beyond the group stage.
2006-2008
Less fortunate in sports terms but surely among the most beautiful ones made by Umbro: simple, clean, and with the logo slightly higher than usual. Something to highlight is the flag of the country around the collar.
2012
In this case, this is the second shirt created by Umbro in that year: the white shirt with a green vertical sash and the high collar made it all very fashionable.
2016-2017
We end up with the shirt that was worn until just a few days ago: we have to highlight the white and orange stripes on the side which complete a kit both special and unique. Farewell Umbro!
