Anthony Davis barred from a restaurant in LA

Anthony Davis barred from a restaurant in LA According to witnesses, 'the Brow' was barred because of inappropriate dress code

In the US, as you sure know, style is not a secondary subject. Particularly if you are in certain cities, like Los Angeles, where the dress code to get access to some locals is - to use a euphemism - very specific. For example, let’s say you are visiting the city of angels and you want to eat something, you must know that is not so easy to go to ‘the first place you find’ to get a snack. Not even if you are NBA superstars.

It happened, in fact, that to ‘the Brow’ Anthony Davies himself, New Orleans Pelicans’ superstar, was denied the access to an LA local. We’re talking about Katana Robata, an Asian restaurant at 8439 of Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood. According to some witnesses, AD couldn’t be able to eat with some teammates, because he was wearing a Pelicans’ branded hoodie. According to reports, Davis also offered to pay to reserve an entire area of the restaurant, but the doorman was inflexible.

In fact, the restaurant’s site itself is very specific. “Dress code: upscale casual, garments not permitted: beachwear, sportswear, shorts and flip-flops. The dress code is strictly enforced and management reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who are inappropriately dressed”. So, if after a long day of walking around the city as tourists you wish something to eat without too many problems, West Hollywood is not the best place for you. Not even if you randomly meet Anthony Davies

To be honest, it seems that seconds after Davis’ departure on a car, the restaurant manager came running out, freaking out at the naive doorman. Looks like NBA superstars are always welcomed, even if in sportswear and flip-flops.
