The Reference Festival in Berlin presents its third PROTOPIA edition

For the third edition of the Reference Festival, Schinkel Pavillon and Referene Studios have chosen the theme "Protopia" with the intention of combining different approaches for a future of hope. With a focus on fashion, the Festival aims to be an interdisciplinary platform designed to explore all aspects of creativity as a whole through experiences in physical and virtual reality.
Disappearing Berlin, for example, is a Schinkel Pavillon project that aims to explore all the potential of the city and its continuous changes, involving iconic architectures and spaces, transforming them thanks to experiences and performances. Like the Bierpinsel, one of the symbolic places of West Berlin which after a decade of abandonment will become the protagonist of the festival. Accompanying Protopia will be events and activations from 032c, Carthartt WIP, Jack Wolfskin, deadHYPE and OTTOLINGER just to name a few. Furthermore, also in this edition, Reference Incubator, in collaboration with Slam Jam, will present its winner chosen by a jury composed, among others, by Luca Benini.
For this third edition, the activations in the city of Berlin will take place from 6 to 12 September, while on 8 and 9 the Festival will shift its attention to Bierpinsel. Due to the limitations imposed by the pandemic, activations on will transform into digital experiences on the Reference Realities platform.
