Despite the pessimistic forecasts, the NFT trend seems to be going still strong as more and more celebrities are now deciding to take the path of cryptocurrencies. The last to board the train was Emily Ratajkowski, who only a few days ago announced that she wanted to sell her NFTs with the aim of regaining her digital image.

Renamed Buying Myself Back: A Model for Redistribution, the NFT takes up the concept already explained by the model first in her essay Buying Myself Back and later in her book My Body. In this way, according to Emily Ratajkowski, it will be possible to regain control of one's image online, being paid every time someone uses a photo of her online. In the past, the British model had widely talked about the problem of regaining her image, especially after she had ended up in court for using a photo of her taken by a paparazzo who had claimed the rights.

Emily Ratajkowski's NFTs will be auctioned on May 14 in partnership with the art-house Christie's, already famous for selling the most expensive non-fungible token in history, that of the artist Beeple paid over 69 million dollars.
