Instagram is the most depressing social An Economist’s investigation reveals it

We know, abusing social networks can be harmful, but what is the worst one for our mood? Apparently the most depressing is Instagram.

This is revealed by the Economist who, during the mental-health awareness week in the United Kingdom, conducted a survey to verify the correlation between sleep loss, fixation on one's appearance, and depression.

Thanks to Moment, an activity-tracking app that boasts about a million users and that once a month asks them how many hours they have spent on social media and to evaluate how happy or unhappy they are of the time spent online, the magazine has discovered that only 37% of Instagram users are satisfied with the time spent browsing the various accounts, while Tinder and Facebook have a satisfaction rate of around 40%.

FaceTime, the application developed by Apple Inc. that allows you to make calls and video calls via an internet connection, managed to get 91%. It seems that the amount of time spent in front of the screen is negative, and in fact, that the level of unhappiness actually rises.

Would you ever have said that? Probably yes. Especially if you have read about one of the problems that seem to afflict Instagram in particular: the proliferation of the "Insta lie" apparently splendid profiles that show an enviable life, a lifestyle that is not effectively reflected in reality. Surf with caution guys!
