5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 16 to 18 September

The signs point to the imminent return of the autumn season, from the shortening of the days to the pleasant coolness that envelops us in the mornings on our way to the office, yet the temperatures are still lingering, perhaps even nostalgic for a summer that is in fact already over. But while we dream of outfits made of trench coats, jumpers and knee-high boots, at this turning point, and not only in terms of temperatures, we have no choice but to distract ourselves on a weekend trip to rediscover Milan.

To Eat - Lob's

With Lob's, Maine arrives in Milan, to be exact a stone's throw from the Navigli, in the Porta Genova area. Amidst peach-themed décor, the American-style menu focuses on East Coast flavours, but with a few Creole incursions, such as jambalaya or Louisiana gumbo soup. The absolute star is lobster, to be eaten strictly with a napkin around the neck.

To Discover - Neons Corridors Rooms

One of the most important living artists, Bruce Nauman has marked the history of contemporary art from the mid-1960s to the present day, with pioneering research that embraces different media: installation, video, sculpture, performance, photography, drawing and sound. The exhibition at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca announces itself as the third extended stage, after London and Amsterdam, of an extraordinary body of work spanning more than 40 years of his career, which aims to narrate some of his main reflections, structures, lights and shadows: Neon Corridors Rooms, precisely. A succession of rooms that investigate the evolution and mutation of Nauman's work over the years with shapes, dimensions, and modes of fruition that add up to generate a sense of disorientation.

To Chill - Edit

A new addition to our list of cool venues: the Edit Milano pub, opened last April, which combines a modern and spacious venue with the offerings of the Turinese craft brewery from which the venue takes its name. The perfect place for a drink after work, but also for more formal occasions given the beauty of the space.

Via Bernina, 1

Whether you are looking for a gift for your parents' wedding anniversary or simply a boogie accessory for your home, Ginori is always the best choice. A company whose origins date back to 1735, when Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori started the first manufacture of fine porcelain in Doccia, near Florence. The brand's historical catalogue presents elegant lines of plates, trays, tableware, vases and decorative accessories, interpreting different eras and styles, it is just up to you to choose which one is right for you.
